A personal beginning. A bigger purpose.
Vel-a-Vive began with a wish to help someone close to home.
My cousin, an orthopaedic surgeon, was struggling with eczema and persistent dryness despite trying different treatments. His experience inspired me to create a balm to care for his dry skin. That balm became the starting point of Vel-a-Vive—and remains one of our bestsellers today.
My own skin concerns took the journey further. Body washes often left my skin feeling excessively dry and itchy, and several locally made soaps hadn’t given me the experience I was looking for. I wanted to understand what went into the products I used, so I learned soapmaking at Soap Ministry.
Curiosity soon grew into a passion. I continued learning from handcrafted makers around the world, exploring ingredients, formulation techniques and the possibilities of everyday personal care.

Why Vel-a-Vive?
As I explored Pakistan’s personal-care market, three opportunities stood out: making luxurious care more accessible as imported products became increasingly expensive; creating complementary collections that help people build complete routines; and bringing more variety to products developed with our hot, humid climate in mind.
Vel-a-Vive grew from the desire to bring these ideas together.
Today, we handcraft face, body and hair care in small batches—from nourishing balms and creamy body butters to shampoo bars, scrubs and solid moisturisers. Each collection brings together products that complement one another, turning everyday care into a thoughtful head-to-toe ritual.

Rooted in the Latin and French word for 'living' and 'vitality'. 'Vive' signifies skin that is breathing, revitalized, and thriving. It represents our belief that beauty is not a mask you put on, but a radiant vitality awakened from within using clean earth-grown elements.
